Lalmohammed Kibria: RAB has arrested a yaba dealer named Mohammad Sajjat Hossain with 120 pieces of yaba in Sribardi, Sherpur.
The yaba was seized from the side of the Bakshiganj to Jhenaidah paved road on Wednesday (February 5) night. The arrested yaba dealer is the son of Jahurul Haque of Hasdhara village in the upazila.
RAB said that on receiving a tip-off, a team from Jamalpur camp conducted a raid in front of a rice mill owned by one Khairul Islam along the Bakshiganj to Jhenaidah paved road in Baniapara, Bhyadanga, Sribardi Police Station, Sherpur district on Wednesday night and arrested Sajjad Hossain along with 120 pieces of Yaba tablets.
The estimated market value of the recovered Yaba is Tk 36,000. Later, the accused Sajjad Hossain, who was arrested on Thursday morning, was handed over to Srivardi Police Station for legal action.
