Mobile court raids in Bakerganj for operating brick kilns illegally. A mobile court has fined three brick kilns a total of two lakh taka for operating brick kilns without following government rules.
On Monday, 17/2/2025, the Executive Magistrate of the Upazila Administration's Mobile Court, Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Tanmoy Halder, fined three brick kilns named Seven Star Bricks, M.A.B Bricks and S.T.2 Bricks in Faridpur Union of the upazila under the Brick Manufacturing and Kiln Establishment (Control) Act, 2013. And the chimneys of the other two illegal brick kilns were thrown up.
In this regard, Executive Magistrate Tanmoy Halder said, as per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Md. Delwar Hossain, a raid was conducted on 3 brick kilns in Faridpur Union, a fine of Tk 2 lakh was collected and the chimneys of 2 brick kilns were demolished due to lack of licenses and clear evidence of burning wood in the brick kilns.
