It is known that 21 people have been injured in fox attacks in Sadar Upazila Rahimanpur, Jamalpur Union, Ranishankail and Pirganj Upazilas. Of these, 10 people have been injured in Rahimanpur Union, 2 in Jamalpur Union, 7 in Ranishankail Upazila and 2 in Pirganj Upazila. Locals say that they finish all their work before noon every day and do not go out at night. In this situation, everyone is in panic. Meanwhile, Upazila Executive Officer Khairul Islam has held an awareness meeting in Rahimanpur Union due to the increase in wild animal attacks. Abul Kalam Azad of Rahimanpur Union said, I was sitting in the courtyard of my house on Monday night. Suddenly, a pack of foxes entered my house and attacked me. When the family members came forward, the foxes ran away. The flesh on my hand was bitten by the fox. Several people, including Namja and Reshmi, who were bitten by the fox, said that the fox attacks have been increasing for some time. Even when we go to work on our land, they attack from behind. They attack even when they come inside the house. Assistant Conservator of Forests of the District Forest Department, Nurunnahar, said that he does not know about the fox bites. He also does not know what steps the Forest Department needs to take in this regard. Upazila Executive Officer Khairul Islam said in this regard, after I came to know about the issues, I spoke to the local chairmen. I also held awareness discussions. However, I advised everyone to be aware. In addition, a medical team is being formed by the upazila administration and treatment is being provided.
