Titu Government, Gazipur: A rally of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP has been held demanding the announcement of an election roadmap to curb the rise in commodity prices, improve law and order, and quickly bring the accomplices of the fallen dictatorship to justice. Today, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the rally was held at the historic Rajbari ground. Under the chairmanship of Gazipur District BNP Convener AKM Fazlul Haque Milon and moderated by Gazipur District BNP Member Secretary Barrister Chowdhury Ishraq Ahmed Siddiqui, the rally was attended as the chief guest by Babu Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, a member of the Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP. The main speaker at the rally was Kazi Sayedul Alam Babul and special guests were Humayun Kabir Khan, Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam Bachchu, Mojibur Rahman, Omar Faruk Shafin, Shah Riazul Hannan. Among others present at the rally were Gazipur Sadar Upazila BNP Deputy General Secretary and Mirzapur Union BNP Senior Vice President Sirajul Islam Siraj Member, Mirzapur Union BNP Leader Mehedi Hasan Khan, Gazipur Sadar Upazila BNP Member Omar Faruk, Mirzapur Union JASAS Senior Vice President Ejahan Molla, Mirzapur Union BNP Publicity Secretary Delwar Hossain, Gazipur Sadar Upazila Zia Manch Senior General Secretary Halim Sikder, Gazipur District Jubo Dal Convener Khorshed Alam and other leaders of BNP and its affiliate organizations. The chief guest at the rally, Babu Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, demanded the announcement of an election roadmap for the rapid transition to a democratic path, prevention of price hikes, improvement of law and order, and trial of the accomplices of the fallen dictatorship. He called on the interim government to quickly arrange for fair elections. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said that implementing the 31 points would reflect the country the people wanted in 1971.
