Jasimuddin Iti Thakurgaon Correspondent Democracy Festival was celebrated in Thakurgaon with drumming, dance and song. The festival was organized by the Youth Forum and District Citizen Platform and funded by Democracy Watch. This morning, a colorful rally started at the city's public club ground, circled the main roads of the city and ended at the same place. After the rally, a discussion meeting was held, where District Police Superintendent Sheikh Zahidul Islam spoke as the chief guest. Also, speeches were given by Youth Development Thakurgaon Deputy Director Mansur Ali, District Election Officer Manjurul Islam and other important figures. The program was presided over by Citizen Platform President Zakir Mostafiz Milu. As part of the festival, 8 stalls were displayed, where awareness information was provided about strengthening the government system, protecting democracy, election monitoring, voter awareness, women's empowerment, establishing good governance, and the importance of youth leadership through various materials.
