Jasimuddin Iti Thakurgaon Correspondent The District and Sessions Judge's Court has rejected bail for 11 accused in a sensational murder case in Thakurgaon and sent them to jail. District and Sessions Judge Abul Mansur Miah gave this order on Thursday (February 6) afternoon. According to the case source, Babar Ali's sister-in-law Samia Akhter, a resident of Bhutdangi village under Haripur police station in Thakurgaon district, developed a good relationship with Muktarul Islam of 51pur village under Pirganj police station on his mobile phone. Due to that, Muktarul Islam called Samia on his mobile phone and went to their house on October 29, 2024. Seeing Muktarul at home, 8-10 people including Samia's father-in-law attacked him unexpectedly. At one stage of the attack, Muktarul Islam was strangled and hit on the head. Later, he was tied up and poison was forcibly poured into his mouth. Muktarul was taken to the Ranishankail Upazila Health Complex in a critical condition and the doctors there referred him to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital. Muktarul Islam died there while undergoing treatment. In this incident, Abdul Khalek, the father of the deceased Muktarul Islam of Ekannapur village in Pirganj upazila, filed a murder case against 11 people at Haripur police station. The case was quickly sent to the Thakurgaon District Judge Court. The accused got 6-week interim bail from the High Court without appearing, after which they applied for bail on Thursday (February 6). After the hearing, the court rejected their bail application and ordered the 11 accused to be sent to jail. Jasimuddin Iti 01751079823//017470379985 Thakurgaon 6/02/25
